Black Tie Premium/Discount

by blacktiereport

Black Tie Premium / Discount answers one question at a glance: is price expensive or cheap relative to the range it is trading in? It draws three lines. The premium line sits at the top of the range, the discount line at the bottom, and the equilibrium line at the exact midpoint. Above equilibrium is premium territory, where you look to sell; below it is discount, where you look to buy. It is the "buy low, sell high" reference, made explicit on your chart. The range is not a static Fibonacci pulled off two points you picked. It is seeded by the last swing high and low using leg-based pivot detection, and then it trails: the top stretches up with every new high, the bottom stretches down with every new low, and the whole map reseeds when the next structural pivot forms. So the zone always reflects the range price is actually building right now, not one you drew an hour ago. Configure the swing sensitivity that seeds the range, and control colors, line style, width and the price labels. Built-in alerts fire when price crosses the premium, discount or equilibrium line. This marks where price sits inside structure. It shows you the terrain, not when to click. No repainting, no arrows dressed up as certainty.
